News from the Qatar Bird Club

The Qatar Bird Club is a separate organization from the QNHG.  Since they do not have a website, we post notices from them here.

Qatar Bird Club:  Friends of Environment Centre

General Meeting, Sunday 22 May 2011, 7:00 pm , Friends of Environment Center (FEC)

The Qatar Bird Club (a separate organization from the QNHG) invites QNHG members to their Membership General Meeting.  Agenda items include the Club Report (achievements, issues, and future plans), adoption of Club bylaws (click here to view), and election of 2011-2012 Executive Committee (4 vacancies to be filled).  Interested members can be nominated for election.  For more information, contact qatarbirdproject@gmail.com

Qatar Bird Club, founded in November 2008, extends a cordial invitation to all QNHG members to attend a meeting at the Friends of the Environment Center [FEC], near Sports Roundabout. Join the Qatar Birding Listserv

A listserv of this type is a good means of reporting your bird sightings to other interested birders, of archiving your bird reports, of announcing events of interest to Qatar birders and of discussing questions of interest to the members of the group.  Anyone can read the messages and anyone can join the listserv.  Only members of the list can post messages, and only members can review the list of other members.

Send your sightings or birding news to qatarbirding@yahoogroups.com

Good birding,
Eric Tull and Brooke Clibbon
